Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
Every TPO is required to annually prepare and adopt a listing of all transportation capital improvements programmed for the upcoming five years for which Federal or State funding will be requested. This document is the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which is the vehicle by which projects move from the transportation plan to implementation.
The TIP for the Brevard Urban Area is a five-year multi-modal implementation plan that identifies all transportation projects (including bicycle/pedestrian/trail facilities, transportation enhancements, transit, seaport, airport, space and rail projects) to be funded by the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration and the Federal Aviation Administration. Information concerning transportation improvement projects funded with local sources is also included, when provided by the local governments.
Also included in the TIP is the most recent Federal Obligations Report, which reports the federal funds that have been obligated in the most recently completed Federal Fiscal Year.
