Every MPO is required to annually prepare and adopt a listing of all transportation capital improvements programmed for the upcoming five years for which federal or state funding will be requested.  This document is the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and is the vehicle by which projects move from the transportation plan to implementation.

The TIP is developed each summer, based on the Florida Deapartment of Transportation (FDOT) Tentative Five-Year Work Progam, project requests from local governments and transporation providers, and public comments received at the MPO's Annual Transportation Open House. The TIP includes all transportation projects that will be funded with state or federal transportation funds and projects anticipated to be completed by local governments. Also included in the TIP is the most recent Federal Obligations Report, which reports the federal funds that have been obligated in the most recently completed federal fiscal year.
