Walk to School Day October 5, 2010
Since 1998, the Space Coast TPO has partnered with Brevard Public Schools to promote and coordinate Walk to School Day events. Last year 37 schools throughout Brevard County participated in International Walk to School Day events. We’re really hoping to increase participation even more this year and make it bigger and better than ever! Child Passenger Safety Week
Parents and caregivers are urged to have their children’s car seats checked on National Seat Check, Saturday, September 24. As part of Child Passenger Safety Week (September 18-24), certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to inspect car seats and provide hands-on advice free of charge. 2011 Transportation Project Priorities Adopted
The TPO annually submits a prioritized list of projects for implementation in Brevard County to the Department of Transportation (FDOT). These priorities are used by FDOT to program State and Federal transportation funds. FY 2012 – FY 2016 Transportation Improvement Plan Adopted
Every year the TPO is required to prepare and adopt a listing of all transportation capital improvements programmed for the upcoming five years for which Federal or State funding will be requested. This document is the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which is the vehicle by which projects move from the transportation plan to implementation. The TIP can be downloaded as a PDF or viewed online in the Interactive TIP.
